and classification of fusible interlining
 Fusible
interlining is a kind of lining whose base cloth is applied
with thermoplastic macromolecular compound. And it has strong
binding power. Through the action of certain temperature,
time and pressure, it can bind with fabrics directly. Fusible
interlining is the shorter form. For its wide use, sometimes
it is called linings directly. Fusible interlining is one
kind of garment auxiliary material. It is the most influential
and very advanced product emerging following the change
of garment processing technique. Compared with other garment
linings such as cotton linen lining, horse hair cloth, resin
lining, it has outstanding functions and characteristics.
And its variety becomes more and more.
1. The basic functions of fusible
interlining: 1, It can solidify and reinforce the needed
parts of garment and can avoid the loose and extension
of fabrics and can guarantee that the fabrics will not
deform; 2,It can act as the framework of garment to reinforce
fabric's plasticity. So it can mold the fabric and make
the appearance and line more elegant;3, It can improve
fabric's wearing characteristics, reinforce fabric's fullness,
loftiness and stiffness, fully embody fabric's drape feeling
and three-dimensional feeling; 4, Seaming has been replaced
by adhesion, the process has been simplified, the production
efficiency has been improved.
2. The classification of fusible
interlining: its common classification methods are the
following five ones.
Classify according
to the methods of coating process
A. Hot-melt transfer fusible interlining---the
linings produced by hot-melt transfer coating technology;
B. Powder-sprinkling fusible interlining----the linings
produced by powder coating technology;
C. Powder-dot fusible interlining----the linings produced
by powder-dot coating technology;
D. paste-point fusible interlining---the linings produced
by paste-point coating technology;
E. double-dot fusible interlining-----the linings produced
by paste-point coating and powder coating.
Classify according
to the structure of base cloth
A. Shuttle-woven fusible interlining-----the
linings whose base cloth is shuttle-woven fabric;
B. Knitted fusible interlining----the linings whose base
cloth is knitted fabric or warp-knitted laid fabric;
C. Non-woven fusible interlining----the linings whose
base cloth is non-woven fabric.
Classify according
to the variety of thermosol
A. Polyvinyl fusible interlining
(PE)
B. Polyamic fusible interlining(PA)
C. Polyester fusible interlining (PES)
D. polyurethane fusible interlining (PU)
E. Ethylene vinyle acetate copolymer fusible interlining
(EVA)
Classify according
to the method of preliminary finish of base cloth
A , According to the base cloth color,
there are gray fusible interlining, bleached fusible interlining,
dyed fusible interlining;
B, According to whether the back of base cloth is raising,
there are fleece fusible interlining and bare-face fusible
interlining.
C, According to the stiffness of base cloth after resin
finishing, there are common fusible interlining (SF),
medium-stiff fusible interlining (MF), stiff fusible interlining
(HF).
In addition, according to different
purposes, fusible interlining can be composed to many
varieties. There are also cotton, chemical fiber, blended,
silk, leather or other special fusible interlining. The
classified combination of the fusible interlining in common
use is in graph 1.
